Musk is a fragrance note from the aromatic glandular secretions of the East Asian Musk Deer. Used to mark territory and attract mates, this scent now includes similar odors from a variety of different plants and synthetics. One of the core fragrance notes, it is known to be raw, natural and animalistic. Penetrating tones of earth, wood and skin are why this scent was known as the original aphrodisiac. It has been described as sensuous, warm and tempting. This sophisticated note expresses a persistent leathery and creamy aura.
