Born in Belarus, she loved smelling the flowers and plants in her garden as a child. She earned a degree in Chemistry while in Poland during her teenage years. She later moved to America, gaining work with IFF as a lab tech. Years later, she would become the Vice President of IFF, then a two billion dollar fragrance company. One of the most celebrated perfumers of all time, she redefined the usage of the rose note.
